Kiwi Golfers

On Monday 27th February, Melanie Harper came to school to help teach us some golf skills. She began by showing us how to hold the club correctly. We got to practise with flags first.

Melanie then got Alex to demonstrate how to correctly hold the club and then swing through to hit the ball.

We were then paired up with a partner, one person setting up and hitting a large ball, while the other person watched and collected the ball for their turn.

Next we were given a tennis ball, to try the same skill.

Then finally it was time for the golf balls.

Melanie commented on how good we were for our age and she also pointed out some golf super-stars of the future. Way to go Room 4!!!!!!
