On Thursday 1st March the Year 3 children of Room 4 went down to Waitahuna for the annual swimming carnival. It is for students from Year 0-3 from both Lawrence and Waitahuna Schools.
Students competed in all sorts of races; egg and spoons widths, kick board widths, streamline glide widths, underwater races, object retrieval races, and they finished off by swimming lengths of both freestyle and backstroke.
Every Year 3 competed superbly and we are VERY proud of their efforts and achievements. The students have all made outstanding progress in their water confidence and swimming over the past 4 weeks and they can all be pleased with their progress.
