The best part of me...

Today's quick write (5 minutes of silent writing) involved us describing which part of our body that we thought was our best part.  Mrs O then took photos of these.  Next time we'll get to use the iPads to take our own photos. 

The best part of me is my mouth because if I didn't have my
mouth I would be dead.  The reason why I wouldn't be alive
is because I wouldn't be able to breathe.  And I wouldn't be
able to smile, frown and talk.  So that's why I love my mouth.
Wait this isn't it - I wouldn't be able to grin.    Bryce

My hands are the best part of me.  Without my hands I could
not ride my motorbike.  They help me turn.   Oakley

The best part of me is my ears because without my ears I
wouldn't be able to hear anything.  I wouldn't be able to
wear my earrings and I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't
hear.  I love my ears.    Isla

The best part of me is my eyes because they are blue and they
sparkle like glitter in the sun.  I like them when they sparkle.  If
I didn't have eyes I wouldn't be able to see anything.

If I didn't have my hands I couldn't bowl a cricket ball and I
couldn't play rugby either and also couldn't help cover silage
pits and help on the farm.  Also I need them for cleaning the
house otherwise I'll get in deep trouble!!!   Ryan

On my body there are lots of special things.  The best parts
are called my legs.  My legs help me to walk and ride my
motorbike.  They also like me and they come with me everywhere.

Without my birthmark I would not be special.  My Aunty has got
one too.  It is dark.  It is on my shoulder.  It is the only one in the

The best part of me is my hair because I can play with my hair
with my hands.  And I also like to flick it around.  I like putting
my finger in it and putting it in a circle.  I love my hair.

in the snow.  Without my hands I wouldn't be able to dig in

write or read and I probably wouldn't be able to walk without

The best part about me is my lips.  With my lips I can talk to
people all the time.  With my lips I can kiss my Mum and Dad.
I can spread bright red lipstick over my lips to wear out at

eating, playing, but there's one more thing everyone needs

The best part of me are my eyes.  They are light green with a
tinge of blue.  What are the use of eyelids?  We would not be
able to read and write.   Of course the best part is if we didn't
have eyes there would be no homework and maybe no school.
