This Blog is a diary of all the things we get up to in our very busy classroom. It is an opportunity for family and friends to be completely involved in the learning that we do every day and it is a great place for us to add learning links that can be useful at home. We hope you enjoy our site, feel free to become a follower and visit us regularly as we update at least twice a week. We also welcome your comments.

Defence force bus comes to visit
On Thursday 15th of March the defence force bus came to visit Lawrence Area School. It was here especially to show the senior students through and discuss possible careers in the armed forces. Room 4 were lucky enough to get a quick look through the bus. We got to see a short video about things that the armed forces do, we were able to ask questions and then got to explore the rest of the bus. We particularly enjoyed the touch-screen computers!

Comments
We welcome and would love to see some comments on our pages from our readers.
The students all love to receive feedback on their work and photos (as do the teachers!)
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a moment to jot down a comment when you have visited one of our posts. And if you're not quite sure how to, come in and see Mrs O or Mrs May and they will show you how. Many thanks readers.

Sports Activator - Miniball
Mitch, the new Sports Activator, visited us for the second time this year.
This time we worked on miniball skills.
We began by dribbling up the gym and back, trying to look ahead as we dribbled.
We then had a go at some other skills like passing the ball around our feet, middle, head and then through our legs.
We tried dribbling really low and really fast.
It was cool fun to race down to the other end of the gym and try to shoot a basket. We were allowed three attempts. Blake was the top-shot with three baskets scored! Mac was pretty good too.
Finally we had a game of 'Dribble King' where half of us were dribbling in a small space.
While dribbling our own ball we had to try and knock someone elses ball out of the space.
Who am I?
Swimming Sports
On Friday 2nd March we held our annual Lawrence Area School Swimming Sports at the Lawrence Pool. It was a terrific opportunity for us to showcase what we have been learning over the summer and to compete against our class mates in freestyle, backstroke and width races. Although the water was a bit cold that did not deter anyone form giving it their very best effort. It was a wonderful day, enjoyed by swimmers and spectators alike!!!
