We had a visit from Mrs Skiving today from the University of Otago. She came to do some science with us and it was so much fun. She showed us how to make spud guns, and talked about how it was a physical science, using friction and air compression. It was so awesome. We also used a slo-mo camera so that we could see what was happening, when we missed it with our normal eyes. It was such a fun lesson.
This Blog is a diary of all the things we get up to in our very busy classroom. It is an opportunity for family and friends to be completely involved in the learning that we do every day and it is a great place for us to add learning links that can be useful at home. We hope you enjoy our site, feel free to become a follower and visit us regularly as we update at least twice a week. We also welcome your comments.

Student of the Week - Clifton
Clifton was nominated for this award by Mrs Crawford because she was so impressed with his kind and caring nature last week when he worked in Room 3. She said he was a really hard worker and he was very kind to the younger students. Mrs May had seen this lovely attitude towards younger students on other occasions, so it was a 'no-brainer' - Clifton was a very deserving recipient of this week's student of the week. Great work Clifton.
