Camp - Sports Hall of Fame

After lunch we went to the sports hall fo fame. It is the only hall of fame in New Zealand and it is filled with amazing memorabilia of New Zealand's greatest sporting heros.
It is upstairs in the railway station.
We had a great time looking around.

Then we had a team competition to complete a quiz. We had to find the answers to 20 sporting questions. It was heaps of fun looking for the answers.

If you got stuck, John was always on hand with a clue or two to help you out.

The parents in each team were pretty helpful too.

Camp - Lunch at the Skatepark

We stopped for lunch behind the railway station. There was an awesome skatepark there so we all got our scooters out and had heaps of fun on the ramps and jumps. It was an awesome place to play in the autumn sun. Check out our smooth moves.

Camp - Baldwin Street

Our next stop was the bottom of Baldwin Street (the steepest street in the world). If we wanted a fruit burst, we had to climb to the top!!!!!

 It was worth it!!

Camp - Ten Pin Bowling

On Thursday Room 4 went on our school camp. This year we went to Dunedin for our overnight camp at the museum. We started the day by packing up the cars at school and then heading off to Dunedin. Our first stop was at 'Bowl Line' where we went ten pin bowling. It was really awesome, although Mrs May was 'pretty rubbish.'

Raisins in water - science experiment

See what happens when we drop some raisins into a glass of water.

Fireworks in a glass - 2 colours

Anna asked the questions "What would happen if we used two different colours of food colouring?" - because it was such a great question we decided to investigate. See how it changes.

Fireworks in a glass experiment

Check out what happens when we add the oil and food colouring mixture to our glass of water.

Easy Blog Photo
Today we were doing some more science experiment sin Room 4 as a part of our 'Kitchen Chemistry' unit. We used mixed food colouring with oil and then slowly poured it into a glass of water to see what the reaction would be. Check out our videos to see what happened.
