This Blog is a diary of all the things we get up to in our very busy classroom. It is an opportunity for family and friends to be completely involved in the learning that we do every day and it is a great place for us to add learning links that can be useful at home. We hope you enjoy our site, feel free to become a follower and visit us regularly as we update at least twice a week. We also welcome your comments.

Student of the week - Kade
This week we were lucky enough to take part in the South Oatgo futsal tournament and it was AWESOME! Not many of us had ever played soccer before, so it really was a test of our skills and determination. Kade was a wonderful role model, not only to our students but to those from other school as well. He displayed excellent fair-play skills and sportsmanship, even when it got very tough to do so. Room 4 a re very proud of how well you handled yourself on the field Kade - you were awesome!

Student of the Week - Shannon
Today marks a very sad day for Room 4. Today is Shannon's last day at Lawrence Area School. She has been a wonderful class member for the past year and a bit. She is a great role model to her peers, always working hard to get her work done. We will miss her very much and wish her well at her new school. Best of luck Shannon!

Otago Rugby Team Visit
On Thursday we had a visit from 5 Otago rugby players.
They showed us some fun games to help our rugby skills.
We had heaps of fun playing cool games that improved our passing and catching skills.
At the end we had a chance to ask them some questions about their rugby career. It was really cool and we loved that they stopped in at Lawrence for a visit!
Student of the Week - Olive
Room 4 continue to work hard on their swimming skills and Olive has been setting the standard for effort and determination. It has been wonderful to see her confidence grow and to see her water skills developing. Keep up the great work Olive!

Shining Star - Grace
Grace was the first Room 4 student to receive a shining star award in 2016. She has been such a kind and caring community member at Lawrence Area School, and all of the teachers appreciate these qualities. Every day, after swimming, Grace has been helping the younger girls to get dressed and ready. This is not an easy task, but Grace goes in and does it, without being asked, and she does it in such a caring manner. Congratulations Grace - you really are our shining star!
