My family - metaphor poems

My family is a tree.

My Dad is the bark that keeps us together .

My sister is the grass that grows around us.

My other sister is the birds that sing in the tree.

My other sister is the trunk that keeps us straight.

My other sister is the wind that howls through us.

My brother is the hu-hu grubs that make holes.

And I am the most important part of all, the roots that give us water.

My Mum is the seed that made us.
