Book review - Trapped by Judy Knox
This story is about a girl called Paula who gets trapped in a mine shaft with her dog called Zak.
Her family are looking for her, but in all the wrong places.
It is a great story about the challenges she faces, and how she tries to get home.
We would recommend this book for people aged 7+
It is a terrific book to read aloud.
"My favourite part was when Paula peeked out of the tunnel and the two men saw her." - Annabelle, Charlotte and Katie.
"I liked the part when the two men found the stinky pants in the mine shaft" - Issy and Olive.
"My favourite part was when the search team finally found Paula." - Archie
"My favourite part was when her sister said she deserved an Oscar." - Austin and Skye
"I thought it was funny when she had diarrhea" - Nick
"I liked the part when she found out that her Pop had been in the mineshaft as well." - Hannah, Ava, Addy and Oscar
"I liked it when she came home from the hospital" - Jess and Chloe
"I liked the part when she fell into the mineshaft." - Angus
"I liked when Zak got out, but then he fell back down the hole." Aria, Emily, Oranje, Liv and KC
"I liked the bit where she was just waking up and she could hear voices and she realised that one of the voices was her mum." - Grace
"I love the fact that my class wouldn't let me stop reading the last 4 chapters, because they were hanging off every word - wanting to know what would happen next. This is such a carefully crafted book, and the twists, turns and connections are a pleasure to watch as I read." - Mrs May
