This story is about a girl called Paula who gets trapped in a mine shaft with her dog called Zak.
Her family are looking for her, but in all the wrong places.
It is a great story about the challenges she faces, and how she tries to get home.
We would recommend this book for people aged 7+
It is a terrific book to read aloud.

I have just finished reading 'Trapped'. What a great story. What did I like about it? So much - it is hard to choose one thing! After really thinking about it, I decided that I admire the way Paula and Zak loved and looked after each other. I also admire the way Paula never once gave up but kept thinking and trying new ideas. ReplyDeleteMrs May is reading us a book that she wrote herself. It is called "A little bit, often, all adds up." Its about a girl who gets bullied at school and how it affects everything in her life. There has been lots to talk about it as we read, and we are pleased to be getting near the end where Maisy learns how to stand up for herself and improve her situation. Unfortunately you won't find this one in the library...not yet anyway.
