During our stay at the museum we spent quite a bit of time in Discovery World. As the name suggests there was so much to discover! We soon found out that every activity was related to friction and many used magnetism or the push/pull force to work.
We even discovered some new and inventive ways of using Discovery World activities. For example, the quick 'blow wave' as seen in the above pictures.
An interesting challenge was 'The Stroop Effect' shown on the wall above. Can you say the colour, not the word?
Everybody had different favourites which they re-visited again and again.
Lots and lots of experimenting taking place.
It wasn't only the children who were up for a challenge either! Phil and Danny were keen to try and solve the mystery of the brain challenge - did the end of the table you were sitting at affect the results? Did the headband choice affect the results?
