Wild things paper collage

After completing a flat paper collage earlier in the term, our next challenge was to create a paper collage by experimenting with a variety of ways to manipulate the paper.  Last week we had an experimenting time where we tried lots of different techniques e.g. cutting, tearing, fanning, spiralling, fanning, screwing...  We then had to apply these techniques to try to create a collage with lots of 3-dimensional aspects.

Our inspiration for today's art work came from the story 'Where the Wild Things are' by Maurice Sendak. Room 4 then had the challenge of creating their own unique Wild Thing, using as many different paper techniques as possible.

Crikey - what a mess!!!!
