Highlanders Visit

 Yay! Today we were lucky enough to have three special visitors from the Otago Highlanders. We were so excited. Most of the class dressed up in blue and yellow to show their support, and we had made made banners and posters.

 The helicopter flew in just after 1.30pm and we all watched to see which Highlanders would climb out of the helicopter.

 Students and parents waited eagerly to get close to some our rugby heroes.

 Max was thrilled to get so close to Colin Slade.

 Jacob, Mac and Doug - all out for the rest of the season due to injury!!!

 The team from Silver Fern Farms who sponsored the visit and Helicopter Otago who flew the boys around all of the schools today.

 All of the supporters from Lawrence Area School farewell our visitors, vigorously waving their new Highlanders flags in a sea of blue.
