Jellybean biscuits and mini pizzas

Rubie, Jessica, William and Lucy with their superb creations

Mmmmmmm - delicious!
Jellybean biscuits

125g butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1 1/3 cups self-raising flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 packet jellybeans

1.   Turn oven on to 190°C.
2.   Beat butter and sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
3.   Add egg and beat well.
4.   Put mixture into a large bowl.  Stir in sifted flour and cocoa and mix well.
5.   Roll 2 teaspoons of mixture into balls.
6.   Place balls about 3cm apart, on lightly greased oven trays.
7.   Press a jellybean into the centre of each ball.
8.   Cook at 190°C for about 12 minutes, or until firm.  Leave biscuits on trays for 2-3 minutes before placing on a wire rack to cool.

It was great to see this group using their initiative and choosing to make individual pizzas once their base mixture had been made.  These looked sooooo appetising!

Time for a little sample of
each recipe
Special thanks to Deirdre and Fiona for their expertise and help in guiding our group.

Thanks for the delicious shared lunch, I liked the Jelly Biscuits especially and the Pin Wheel Scones but the Chocolate Brownie was soooo yummy as well....!!! My favorite part if the day was making the my own pizza because I got to put all the healthy toppings that I like on it, but maybe the mushrooms were not a good idea and I gave them to my Mum and she enjoyed my pizza as well.
Hope everyone has a fantastic holidays and will see you next term...!!!
